After speaking with the lady (in yellow T-shirt) in the vegy-fruit stall, we headed straight out of Kg Bkt Tinggi towards Bentong, using the "old" road. Yes, that means do not turn back to the Karak Highway!
From Kg Bkt Tinggi drive back to the way you came in.
You will see this signboard on your left.
Erm, sorry about my dirty windshield lah - long time no wash car... hehehe.
Do NOT turn back to the highway (the green sign),
When I say go straight, I really mean straight!
If it looks like a Y road to you, then follow the right lah!
Straight and you are heading to Bentong, using the "old" road.
You may not be able to drive fast here because the road is narrower and winding.
But you will enjoy driving on this road because traffic is extremely light and
you can enjoy the greens on both sides of the road.
There will be bridges to cross over and...
... tunnels to through or under!
Hey! A waterfall by the roadside!
On the left!
Do you know I stepped on the brake the moment I saw this?!
Thank goodness, there were no cars behind mine!
Eh, did we bring extra clothes in the car ah?
No? Aiyah, cannot go in for a dip lor.... haizz....
We started at 30 and we found the waterfall before 24!
Err, these numbers are in miles or in km lah?
Or should it be "stone"?
Why never write one?
Do you know that bamboo plants are found on both sides of the road?
I love to see bamboo shoots!
Beware though, they are very "thorny"!
Aye, as if you are going to touch them lah! Hehehe...
Before we reach this "Selamat Datang" signboard, I was asking dear cousin,
"What do you think those ponds are?"
Dear cousin said, " Must be the sewerage system lah!"
"Huh? But there are people swimming in it wor."
Dear cousin asked, "Hah? Really ah?"
Those were hot spring pools!!
Who just said sewerage???!
The blue signboard says:
"Warning! Children are not allowed to bath in this area."
Adults, please watch your children!
For their safety lei!
Beside the big pool, there is a smaller pool.
I found the shed more inviting....
The sun was almost on my head lah!
Why? Did not bring umbrella or cap also ah???
Let's go before I melt!
Did you just call me "Puteri Lilin" (Princess Candle)?!
This is interesting!
There were some cyclists training on this route.
No traffic, peace, quiet, nature, waterfall, bamboos and fresh air!
Good choice, guys!
"Jia yue! Jia yue!"
I purposely reversed to this point to take this picture because of what we found!
Remember this river because you will find a wonderful place for rest and relax soon!
Immediately you pass the river (or the bridge), turn left!
You will find these two signboards.
Yup! There is an adventure camp and a liberation park here!
Wow! What a discovery!!!
Let's take a look! Let's take a look!
Wait, wait, make sure the car is locked!
All windows up?
We were not sure what was ahead of us mah, so better be careful than sorry!
Really felt our adrenalin pumping.. bo-de-bob ~ bo-de-bob!
Sure, you want to do this?
We have never been to this part of the world, you know??
Yes! Let's do it when we are still young!
Let's be adventurous!
Look at the running river!
I want to go down and snap some pictures!
You stay in the car and keep it locked!
Seriously, there is always a first time for everything, right?
The moment I got out of the car, I felt myself blending with the nature.
Guess we had stressed ourselves unnecessary after all.
A little further from the liberation park, we found people having fun at this place!
How I wished I was in my shorts and slippers and brought extra clothes lei!
A little further down, opposite the river, we saw some people camping there!
The adults were busy starting the fire for the BBQ pit while
some kids were playing in the river!
One kid was holding his fishing rod and trying his luck.
I shouted to him, "Ada ikan ke?" (Got fish ke?)
He shouted out, "Tak da lah!" (None lah!)
Well, good luck, lad! We gotta go now!
We did not dare to venture in searching for the source of the waterfall because there were only two of us.
If there were more of us and we were in proper gears for trek and better equipped with clothes and food, we would love to discover more about this place.
Maybe we should give a call to that camp (signboard) number to find out more about the place, yah?
As we drove towards Bentong, after getting out from the waterfall site,
we found this Darma Buddhist Uni.
Didn't know that there is a Buddhist University lei, but it was closed.
From number 30 down to number 10, we had already found so many interesting places.
Gee, I can't wait until we reach Bentong lei... for lunch...
Growling, growling, stomach already making noise...
Look out for our lunch adventure @ Bentong!
